Our Mission
Oak Ridge Military Academy is a member of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) as well as a member of the Triad Athletic Conference (TAC), traditionally one of the strongest private school athletic conferences in North Carolina. Our varsity teams, known as the Cadets, compete against schools from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Oak Ridge has an expansive athletic program that provides each male and female cadet with a number of athletic opportunities including soccer, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, wrestling, swimming, baseball, tennis, golf, and track & field. On a yearly basis, our teams have the chance to compete in conference tournaments and state playoffs.
Oak Ridge has excellent athletic facilities including the Joseph Bonner Field House, which features a gym for basketball and volleyball, a weight room, conference room, athletic offices, equipment room, locker rooms, and laundry room. It has also been used as a host sight for the National AAU Basketball Tournament. Wrestling and junior varsity basketball operate in King Gymnasium, which also houses an indoor pool where the swim team practices. The soccer, and baseball fields are all located on Oak Ridge's scenic 110 acre campus.
Oak Ridge Military Academy has an active Booster Club which raises money through donations, Booster Club memberships, and concession sales to support the athletic program.
